How kisMed can be configured
Configuration Options Included in the Package
kisMed offers extensive options to adapt the software by configuration, without programming. The major part is done during setup and training, and a part of this options can be set by the user during work.
The key points for the configuration are:
Appointments, Queues and Workflows
- The calendar view can be adapted in many points to achieve an optimal presentation. Queues are freely configurable; Office hours, vacations and appointment options are set by the user.
- Workflows can be defined per user out o pre-defined activities to put them in an automated sequence.
Consultation and Findings
- Pre-determined structural elements of findings (medical history, complaint, status, diagnosis, ...) can be adjusted with more divisions, like EEG or neurology.
- Consultation history: the layout of structural elements, medications and measurement data can be set. Both sequence and placement in columns can be controlled. Further a grouping by date and element is available.
- In addition to physician’s letter and medical summary more formats can be defined, like surgery clearance. The structure of these outputs can be adapted per installation. Boilerplate text like leading-in can be overwritten per individual finding.
- Each user can set to which extent the patient overview (like continuous medication) is displayed.
- Boilerplate text for quick entry of findings, comments for appointments or magistral formula are defined initially and supplemented on demand.
Accounting
- Private services are in a separate catalogue from each health insurance. Charges for private services can be modified per invoice. Both summary invoices and individual positions can be generated.
- Most frequent services for each health insurance can be put on a default selection list for ease of use.
User Interface
- Color scheme, font size and layout of windows can be set per user and workstation
- All lists allow to move and hide columns, and sort by column values
- Application functions can be restricted by role. Thus functions that are not required are hidden.
